The Oklahoma Wheat Commission partners with many entities across the country to educate about the wheat industry and all it has to offer to consumers, extension, educators and lawmakers.

Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians and Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

OWC hosts yearly workshops with the Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians and the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to discuss the importance of whole-grains and proper use of wheat in the human diet. This year’s conference boasted 60 registered dietitians eager to learn more about wheat.


All You Knead to Know

is an annual artisan and grain workshop in partnership with the Oklahoma State Food and Agricultural Products Center. Baked goods made from grain have been a global state of life for several millenniums.  Anyone from a chef to a farmer, as well as bakers in small and large bakeries, will find interest in this specialized workshop just for the baking industry.  


Oklahoma OSU Cooperative Extension Services

OWC partners with the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service in a number of different ways through wheat field days, bread workshops, baking contest, the Junior Wheat Show and many other projects.


Family & Consumer Science Teachers and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America

OWC partners with Home Baking Association annually to provide seminars with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America in Oklahoma as well as the southern region of the United States to FCCLA instructors about the importance of grain consumption and home baking.


Oklahoma Ag Day at the Capitol

Annual event at the Oklahoma State Capitol where agriculture groups gather to educate and advocate for the legislature and visitors with information and food samples.


Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom

The purpose of Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom is to help familiarize Oklahoma school children with Oklahoma’s food and fiber industry by providing resources for Oklahoma teachers. OWC serves on their advisory board and partners on several projects.
